Well hey! I’m so glad you stopped by. If you’re wondering who I am, how I got my start, or just plain wanting to know who to look for when you’re meeting me at your photography session, you’ve come to the right place! I’m here to tell you that I’m just a simple Christian gal from a small town in Pennsylvania who grew up with a camera in her hands, couldn’t keep the mud off her clothes, and always had a furry animal to cuddle. Nowadays, I’m married to the man of my dreams and have two of the best fur babies to cuddle, have a career that I love, travel without hesitations, drink coffee like it’s my job, and am always looking forward to life’s next adventure.
I created Chelsea Mowery Photography in 2013 after years of being so unhappy working in the banking and medical industries. My love for photography was always just a hobby, and I thought I wanted to keep it that way. I was afraid that if I made it into a career that I would lose my passion for it. Boy, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I felt the Lord really pushing me in a certain direction, and it meant facing the hard truth that my comfortable career as an x-ray tech just wasn’t who I was meant to be. He had bigger plans to use my talents elsewhere. Since diving into this new endeavor, I have not only learned more about photography and what an incredible craft it is, but I’ve learned so much more about myself in doing all the things I thought I couldn’t do. Then a little while later, after getting connected with a few awesome photographer friends, I quickly realized that not everyone enjoys editing hundreds of photos every month. And so began the Photo Editing side of my creative business. I absolutely love using my passions to help other creatives lighten their load so they can do more of what they love.
Folks, this stuff seriously makes me happy. Creating fun and engaging sessions for each and every one of my clients is what brings the biggest smile to my face. Seeing your images after your session will bring a smile to yours. And when we’re on location, everyone better be smilin’, lettin’ loose, and having fun. Whether I’m photographing a family, high school senior, newly engaged couples, or folks celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, I’m enjoying every single minute of it because I know that y’all are going to cherish these photos for a very long time.
Thanks again for stopping by. I hope that we can meet up sometime and smile together!
