Sandpoint Newborn Photographer | Boho Lifestyle Baby Portraits

As a Sandpoint newborn Photographer, I am honored whenever a family reaches out to me to photograph their newest addition to their family. Meet the Verrett family and their brand new baby boy! I had the privilege of also photographing Robin while she was still pregnant. Her maternity session was absolutely beautiful. It was perfect timing with the cherry trees being in full bloom.

This is Robin and Brandon’s first child. I always consider it such a privilege to be invited into the home of a brand new family. Our lifestyle newborn sessions typically take place within the first two weeks after baby is born, so families are usually still in the “figuring it out” stages (especially brand new parents like Robin and Brandon). But during our time together, they already seemed like pros. Robin and Brandon seemed to have settled into parenthood quite well, and it was so beautiful to be able to witness.

We had to take a few breaks for feedings and settling baby, which is totally normal during any lifestyle newborn session. Because of these little breaks, you can expect your newborn portraits to last about 2 hours. Nothing is ever rushed, and we allow plenty of time for baby to be fussy if they want to be. And in all honesty, these in between moments of consoling baby often create wonderful opportunities to capture more candid moments of mom, dad, baby, and siblings. We take full advantage of our entire time together. I never want my moms to be pressured or rushed in any way. You have enough on your plate to worry about. The last thing you should be worrying about is having a perfectly sleepy baby for your newborn session. As you’ll notice in the gallery below, baby Verrett never once had his eyes shut. He was a challenging little guy, but he is also proof that evening a challenging baby can still have a very successful and beautiful lifestyle newborn session.

You’ll also notice that in our lifestyle newborn session, we don’t force posing too much. Our posing is more natural and simple. We allow baby to stretch and kick as they please, and blankets are wrapped loosely; creating a very simple, effortless look to your baby’s photos. Lifestyle newborn sessions are done in the privacy and comfort of your own home. We typically utilize the parents’ bedroom, nursery and living rooms.

If you’re looking for a Sandpoint newborn Photographer, I would be honored to help you plan your very one lifestyle newborn session for your newest little addition to the family. Email me with any details you want to share, and any questions that you might have, and we can start planning.
